Fantastic weekend city break
Brian_W, Nov 2023
We had a lovely weekend break in Budapest - it was our first visit - we found it to be very beautiful and enjoyable and everyone was very helpful. The basilica is amazing and a trip up to Buda castle is a must. The hop on hop off bus was great for getting around the city and allowed us to see things we would otherwise would not have seen such as hero’s square !
Boat cruise
merylene_d, Oct 2023
Evening boat cruise was very informative. More information than bus tour Budapest is a gray city. I don't want to say anything else
Overall a good experience.
Dipak_V, Oct 2023
Shows you all the popular sites in the city. Really clean and well organized withstand at every stop to help. Need to point out that the washroom on the cruise was inexplicably "OUT OF ORDER". This needs to be corrected.

Jamaican Experience

We purchased the 72-hr option and enjoyed driving around the city of Budapest over a three-day period. Our walking-tour guide was pleasant, knowledgeable, funny and entertaining. This is a great way to understand the history of the city.

Viator gave incorrect information
Krystin_M, Jul 2023
Viator rep said the bus runs until 9:30p and it stopped at 6p - we couldn’t use our pass other than 1 short ride.
Bus and River Cruise
kathleen_a, May 2023
Great value! Wonderful tour complete with river cruise! Also took the free walking tour which was exceptional!
Budapest City bus ride
Rose_N, Apr 2023
The instructions were not very clear as to the redemption of the on-line tickets. The price we paid was more expensive ($2) than those sold by the City Sightseeing vendors when we got there. It was difficult to understand the recorded narratives. We didn't get to use the boat tour because the vendors couldn't give us where to catch the boat, besides it started to rain the day we were going to take the boat ride. It was nice to be able to catch the bus to travel around the city and get off when we wanted. However, the bus does not cross the Danube River at the Chain Bridge which we wanted to do. But the city provided a blue bus that crosses the Chain Bridge from Pest to Buda. If you get off at the first stop, the bus ride is free and you can take the same bus back across the bridge and if you get off at the first stop, the ride is free.

Very interesting
Adrian_T, Feb 2023
The tour was excellent, the audio guide very descriptive of all the main landmarks of Budapest We enjoyed the visit and the explanations
No worthy the money
Richard_T, Dec 2022
Had to walk at least a half mile + from bus stop to pier. Could not find any signs to the boat and had to change bus even for the same route. Very disappointed.
If you want to see the major sights...
Emily_C, Aug 2022
Overall, this is a good hop on/off tour. I liked that you could get in any bus and the river cruise was nice. However, all the signage and advertising said "free" drink in the cruise and that was NOT the case. The bartender was not friendly about telling you so either. Also, the juice bar the coupons were good for was closed. I do highly suggest if you are going to "hop off" at any time, you start your tour earlier rather than later (I got distracted and couldn't really enjoy a couple of stops towards the end of the day) - buses do stop running after 6 pm at the Basilica so if you were planning to be dropped off anywhere but there, do it before 6!

Great value
Rachel_F, Aug 2022
The walking tour was good with the on off bus. It’s great to get to all the tourist spots and know you can get a bus to tge next spot
The bus was quite clean...
AmirIzham_Y, Aug 2022
The bus was quite clean and the timing for every stops was almost good. Whilst the upper deck is for those who want an open air journey, the lower deck should be airconditioned. It would help those who want comfortable journey especially during the summer heat.
Great experience
Galina_P, Jul 2022
Informative, easy to reach the main attraction, the River cruise was a nice bonus. We took the one at 20:00, that way it started in sun light and finished at evening.
Great bus taking you...
Kay_K, Mar 2022
Great bus taking you round all the key places. Great for getting around. Free boat tour, with great commentary.
Use Big Bus or get a Budapest ticket.
Erichardman, Mar 2020
Staff rude and uninterested in you. The buses were full and you are not always able to hear commentary. The English translation is awful and usually out of sync with location. Unless you are on top of bus you see very little. So if you ignore this warning ensure you take trips on a sunny day. Worst tours ever encountered.
Hop on/of is rubbish
Rob P, Dec 2019
Drivers take too many passengers in with each stop, so many end up standing. The effect is that most people cannnot see much of the view. Also the stops at different areas is too far away from the point of interest and no explanation given where one has to go. Thirdly the sound system is terrible and basically impossible to understand
