What To Expect

Rhine Falls Tour from Zurich:

Depart from a centrally located pickup point in an air-conditioned coach and relax during the scenic journey to Rhine Falls, Europe’s largest waterfall. On arrival, marvel at the colossal power of the cascading water and capture fantastic photographs from a variety of vantage points.

Opt to enjoy an incredible boat trip through the waterfall spray (June to August only), and then return to Sihlquai for an approximate 10-minute interlude before the next tour starts.

Best of Zurich City Tour:

Climb aboard a comfortable coach and set out to see Zurich’s most spectacular sights. Listen to insightful commentary from your guide as you cruise past monumental landmarks like the National Museum, the sophisticated Bahnhofstrasse shopping street and the charming Old Town of Limmatquai.

The Rhine falls was a great experience. The falls were magnificent from the viewing platforms, especially the one down the bottom, however the best experience was from the optional boat ride - I highly recommend. Manual was a fantastic guide. Please note there are quite a few steps! After the Rhine falls experience I was a bit tired when it came time for the Best of Zurich tour. Thankfully for me most of the tour was on the bus. There were a few off the bus photo opportunities and the day ended with a short walk through the old town. Great way to see the city if you are short on time. Cristina was very informative.

While Rhine fall visit was excellent a two hour break before city tour killed the experience. It should have been properly explained in the itinerary that there will be a gap of 2 hrs . Ideally it should be a continuous trip. Tough overall not a bad experience.

really fun tour! the boat ride at the rhine falls was so worth it! (we had to pay our guide in cash for this experience so make sure you have swiss franks or euros so you dont have to pull it from the atm when you get there) the best of zurich city tour was also great. mostly by bus with some pit stops along the way, wchih was perfect becuase it was a long day and sitting on the bus was nice, we covered a lot of ground! we didnt do the boat cruise afterwards but in retrospect I wish we had overall great all day experience!

We spent a lovely half day at the Rheinfalls. The falls are really spectacular and we enjoyed even more by taking one of the boat tours very close to the falls! Our guide was awesome, she explained all the details regarding the falls. Ours was a small group but she still was able to arrange the boat trip for us! We took the Zurich city tour in the second half of the day! The tour gave us a great overview of the city! They pointed out landmarks to explore after the tour. The bus was nice and comfortable! All in all a great two in one tour combo!!

Rhine Falls were beautiful, rushing waters flowing. We did the boat ride and got a close up experience. The City tour showed much of the old city, river front, neighborhoods and churches. The guides did a great job!

This experience was perfect and I am so glad I did this on my first day in Zurich. The waterfall was amazing and I did not feel the boat tour was oversold as other reviewers noted. It is totally worth the extra fee to go right to the waterfall and you even get a little wet. The city tour after a lunch break capped off the day and you experience a city completely differently once you get an educated explanation of it. Highly recommend this even if you only have one day in Zurich.

Very poorly organized!!!

The trip to Rhein Falls was beautiful. We hiked all the way down to the boat dock only for it to be unavailable-this was very disappointing. My mom has knee problems and had to hike all the way back up. Our guide had good info but the people on the bust talked throughout her talk so it was very hard to hear. The tour guide for the drive around Zurich was informative, however, she had to give info in German and English and many times we missed the sight by the time she told us about it in English. We also spent the first 25 minutes of the tour in traffic. The mask policy wasn’t enforced on the bus-Trudy, our guide, really needed to do a check to make sure people had their masks on. The walking part of the tour was so disorganized that we left midway without her even noticing.

I did this tour as I thought value what you pay was very good. I had tour guider, his name is Konrad Peter, he was very good, and knowledgable. We talked all way when we went Rheinfall. He took me around and did an extra excusion for wineland village, that was very nice of him. I enjoyed the tour very much. Thank Konrad, you was the best. I also like to thank the best Switzerland tour for running this tour for me as a solo booking of this tour.

Biggest waste of time and money! This tour could have been done independently! Tour guide and bus driver was very nice and knowledgeable but the Rhine Falls are NOTHING to rave about. Its only called the biggest waterfall because its wide! There is nothing special about this place. Then what angered me off even more is that while on the bus, the tour guide tells us we can do an optional boat ride. My husband and I were the only two who didnt opt to do it. She was convincing everyone that the views fronm the boat are wonderful and its an amazing experience and going on and on about it. It was 10 Swiss francs per person. Since we were the only two left out, we decided to just do it. Well, let me tell u, the dam boat went in a small circle and close to the waterfall but it was suchhhhhh a joke! Again, it was on,y great cuz you literally went by the waterfall! Dont book this tour, save your money and do something else!

We had a great time on this tour, given we were only in Zurich for a couple of days. The trip to the Rhine Falls was excellent, and we would definitely recommend doing the optional boat trip, as it takes you extremely close to the water fall.
