Visit a typical Alpine village with this trip to Les Diablerets. You will ascend the summit of a glacier and discover the beautiful Swiss city that captured the heart of Freddie Mercury.
Itinerary
We will meet at Geneva bus station to start the trip to Les Diablerets. This is a picture postcard Alpine village with pretty cottages, rolling meadows, and snow-capped peaks.
You will have your own free time to explore Les Diablerets and discover what life is like in a Swiss community which has managed to maintain its traditions and identity despite the modern boom in tourism. You can take a walk around the serene fields, try the local gastronomy (lunch not included) and enjoy the outstanding natural beauty of the region.
After eating, we will head to Montreux, a beautiful city on the shore of Lake Geneva. Notable figures over the years, such as David Bowie, Tchaikovsky, Shania Twain, and Freddie Mercury have chosen Montreux as a place to live. You'll soon realise why when you discover its charms during your half hour of free time!
When the tour has finished, we will return to Geneva.
Cable car to Glacier 3000
If you want to discover the most impressive views of the Alps, you can reserve the option that includes the cable car to Glacier 3000 so you can explore the summit instead of free time in Les Diablerets.
Glacier 3000 is a station high up at the top of the Tsanfleuron glacier. This ticket lets you access the facilities, enjoy the breath-taking panoramic views of the Alps, and brave the ‘Peak Walk’ bridge that connects the summits of View Point and Scex Rouge. This walkway is 108 meters long and 80 centimeters wide and hangs over 9000 feet high. Are you brave enough to walk along it?
Important Information
Glacier 3000 stands at over 9000 ft (3000 m) above sea level, as such, we do not recommend that pregnant women take part in this activity.
